Art Critic Alice Thorson Says Goodbye to the Kansas City Star
Constructive criticism is essential to growth of an artist and any creative. The Kansas City Star says goodbye to the “loved by the Art World” Alice Thorson. The future plans of The Star are to work with freelance writers but have already stated there will be less articles dedicated to art criticism.
Although this was not unexpected to Alice, much of the KC Arts Community is disappointed to see her leave as she has played an important role in providing an understanding of arts to this community and also nationwide. Fortunately, Alice will continue to explore other opportunities to share her views about the visual arts. We will keep our eyes open for Alice and her next venture.
