Hays Arts Council Premiers Short Film “The Art of Change”

As home to the first arts council in Kansas, Hays was chosen by the KAC to be one of four communities to become a short film as one of their “Turning Points” projects. The Kansas Arts Council defines a “Turning Point” as a moment in time that changed the community and the 1960 formation of The Hays Arts Council fits the bill.

The short film titled “The Art of Change” will premiered at the Hays Public Library as a free event. Mayor Henry Schwaller and HAC president Dennis Schiel will lead a community discussion after the film. The event starts at 6:30pm on October 17th.
