Spencer Museum Set for Renovations

If you want to get a look at the art in the Spencer Museum, you had better do it this week.  The museum is slated to close on April 12 for renovations and reopen again in 2016.  The first phase of renovation will overhaul the lobby and central court. It will include an elevator and staircase connecting the museum’s two floors of gallery space and a floor-to-ceiling window.  An expanded object study area and teaching gallery will allow for increased class and tour capacity.  The museum will still continue to have outreach programs.
